Vacuum on a low setting to keep it clean, and wipe with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. If it gets stained, ask a specialist for advice rather than scrubbing. Avoid abrasive cleaners, and test any product on a small hidden area first. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat to prevent fading. Everyday use can loosen screws over time, so check and tighten them now and then.
